The following classes were judged by Elaine Stanmore (Altaya)
It was a pleasure to judge the JH/Stakes and Special Classes at this very well run and enjoyable show. Thank you to the committee for inviting me.
Junior Handling Age 6-11 years (1 entry, 1 absent)
Junior Handling Age 12-16 years (3 entries, 0 absent)
1st: Caragh McGrath (aged 15) Very talented handler, showed her dog to the best advantage at all times. Presented very well on the table, showed teeth well, moved in straight lines at a good pace and was always conscious of my position. Presented her dog very well in stance. Best Junior Handler.
2nd: Rachel Dutton (aged 15) Another excellent handler, who presented, showed and moved her dog extremely well, all the above remarks apply. She was very patient and gave her dog lots of verbal encouragement as could be slightly distracted.
3rd: Eleanore Taylor (aged 13)
Brace (6 entries, 2 absent)
1st: Amicae Daydreamer/Amicae Talk Talk (Mrs M Whitehill) b/ws. Made a lovely brace as they were very alike in type and movement and looked lovely together standing. Later learned they were mother and son.
2nd: Ookiimimi Dapper Dancer (Mrs J Nash) r/s/ws. Another very well matched pair who moved and stood extremely well and were very controlled.
3rd: Petress Black Magic (Mrs T Cullen)
Res: Elendil Aramond & Elendil Bellman (Mrs A C & Ms E G N Borg)
Shimna Memorial Stakes Special Open Dog (11 entries, 6 absent)
1st: Melangel Time to Shine (Mrs M & Misses B & J Mann) Very well named b/w who has a really beautiful head, dark well set eyes of lovely shape and expression, large well set ears and perfect symmetrical markings, medium neck, good shoulder and upper arm, level topline, well set tail and good hind angulation, moved well, very well balanced, alert and typical butterfly. Pleased to learn he was Best In Show. Congratulations.
2nd: Remani’s So You Think You Can Dance Spinillons (Imp USA) (Mrs J Davidson-Poston) Lovely tri with beautiful markings, most lovely head and expression, well set large rounded ears with lovely fringing, medium neck, good forehand with straight front, good topline and tailset, excellent coat and movement, another high quality Papillon.
3rd: Elendil Lord of the March (Mrs A C & Ms E G N Borg)
Res: Feorlig Magic in the Making (Mrs J Barnett)
VHC: Powdermill Touchstone at Shirando (Mrs S Colyer)
Shimna Memorial Stakes Special Open Bitch (6 entries, 2 absent)
1st: Denemore Gabiscandy Floss at Tricianbri (IKC) (Lt.Cdr. B D S & Mrs P A Cox) Gorgeous dark r/s/w, beautiful, well proportioned head with well defined stop ,dark eyes set well with intelligent expression, large well fringed ears, which she used well, good shoulder angulation, perfect level topline and high tailset, well developed hindquarters with good bend of stifle, medium size and substance. Never stopped showing and has such a lovely outline and very sound parallel movement, not fully mature in body, but for me she looked the complete picture with her long well fringed tail and won rosette for best of the two stakes classes.
2nd: Melangel Tilly Tri Star (Mrs M & Misses B & J Mann) Tri, another really lovely quality bitch, so very much like her litter brother, again having a lovely head and expression, excellent front, topline and tailset , hard to fault in outline and balance and moved well, liked her spring of rib but not as finished as 1 overall. Once fully mature in coat has all the virtues to go to the top.
3rd: Farleysbane Firefly at Lafford (TAF) (Mrs C Lees)
Res: Pappretty Crystal Magic (Mrs C Anderson)
